In honor of Thanksgiving we recently took time to thank those in our community who have welcomed us into their homes and hearts. We hosted Friendsgiving dinners in Portland, L.A. and NYC where we wined, dined and enjoyed the company of those who helped make the past year so special. Whether you’re heading home for the holidays or hosting for the first time, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite moments from these dinners, made for easy replicating at home. Wishing you joy, comfort and good food – today and always.

Friendsgiving Portland

Portland

We kicked off the first of our Friendsgiving dinners in Portland, Oregon – home to our second brick-and-mortar location. Guests dined at Blockhouse where the team at Chef’s Table prepared at unforgettable menu where seasonal ingredients were the stars of the night: delicata squash & apple salad, stuffed rainbow chard, roasted green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The meal was followed by individual peppermint meringues and bourbon cherry + buttermilk panna cottas – the perfect dessert for hosting a large group!

Friendsgiving LA

L.A.

In celebration of the Parachute x Hedley & Bennett collaboration, we co-hosted an L.A. Friendsgiving at the infamous Apron H.Q. Part offices, sewing factory, test kitchen and grown up playground, the space was radiating with energy. To begin the evening guests were greeted with a hot toddy bar – the ultimate crowd pleaser – and horderves. Tablescapes decorated by Jenn Sanchez, and her one-of-a-kind floral arrangements, welcomed guests to their seats. Served family style, Rustic Canyon forwent turkey for crispy confit cornish hens, served with butternut squash agnolotti and grilled cauliflower steaks.

Friendsgiving New York

New York

For our final Friendsgiving, we headed to New York where the first snow of the season set the scene for our coziest dinner yet. Gracious friends braved the weather for dinner in Dumbo with views overlooking an all white Brooklyn Bridge. A warm meal of risotto, wild salmon, ravioli and hanger steak was paired with mashed potatoes and greens: Thanksgiving classics! In honor of our brief visit, we went with a NYC favorite for dessert: Bubby’s pies! Everyone left with full hearts – and stomachs.
