'The Guncle,' by Steven Rowley

While the kids are grieving, "GUP's" vibrant and silly personality turns out to be just what everybody needs. This is a heartwarming family story you won't want to put down.

'The People We Keep,' by Allison Larkin

April decides to pack her stuff and leave her small town after a fight with her dad. She finds herself in Ithaca and decides to look for work. She immediately finds a sense of belonging at the local coffee shop, Cafe Decadence, where she falls in love with her new friends and sense of community. In this story, April details the people she meets through song as she builds a new life for herself. We promise you'll be rooting for April the whole way through.

'Beautiful Country,' by Qian Julie Wang

Beautiful Country, is a poignant memoir from Qian Julie Wang – a Yale graduate and managing partner of Gottlieb & Wang LLP, a firm dedicated to advocating for education and civil rights. Wang details her families immigration to the United States and their determination to survive as illegals in New York City.
