So you've been invited to a holiday dinner! Now comes the big question...what should you bring? If you want to wow the table, may we suggest this amazing pecan pie! Full of warmth, comfort and delicious filling, this dessert will bring a smile to every guest this holiday season. Luckily, this relatively simple recipe comes together quickly – especially if you use a store bought crust (we won't tell). Get your brown sugar and maple syrup ready, it's time to bake with us!

Woman at table with pecan pie

  • 2 and 1/2 cups pecans(pecan halves)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup (about 8.5fl oz) maple syrup

  • 1 cup packed light or dark brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon flour

  • Pre-made or your favorite pie crust recipe :)

The Filling:

  • Bring the syrup and brown sugar to a boil in a skillet. Add butter and let cool

  • Whisk the eggs until fluffy

  • Add the syrup, brown sugar and butter gradually to the eggs

  • Add pecans, cinnamon, flour and vanilla to the mixture

  • Pour into pie dough

  • Put into oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the top is lightly browned at 350 degrees

  • Remove pie from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool completely. The pie filling will settle as it cools.
