We're happy to introduce you to our newest fabrication – Organic Soft Luxe. This cozy, luxurious fabric is a fresh addition to our bedding assortment and hopefully your bedroom! Organic Soft Luxe is a unique brushed sateen weave that is reminiscent of sleeping in an elegant hotel bed. You won't find other bedding like this on the market! We spoke with Chief Creative Officer, Amy Hoban, to dive into the design process, her styling tips and all the details on what makes Organic Soft Luxe so special.
Amy, we're loving the Soft Luxe life! What makes this fabric so special?:Softness is key to this fabric. We wanted to create an elevated offering that feels soft and luxurious from the moment you put it on your bed. This is a brushed sateen weave – which you won't find at many other brands – meaning the fibers have been brushed and garment washed to create a super soft finish. This bedding instantly transports me to a boutique European hotel. It's quiet luxury at its finest.
Will you walk us through the details of the fabric's construction? :Yes, like I said this is a brushed sateen weave so organic cotton yarns are woven into a drapey sateen fabric. Then the fabric is rubbed (or brushed) by a machine that raises the fibers and creates a super soft finish. After that the fabric is garment washed for a matte finish that is comfy and cozy. There is a lot of love and care put into Organic Soft Luxe. We hope everyone loves it as much as we do.
The piping is a new look for Parachute? What was the inspiration?:Since this is a brand new fabric that we've been working on for years, we also wanted to introduce a new look to our collection. The piping is a more traditional, classic look which we thought served as the perfect complement to the more elevated feel of the Organic Soft Luxe fabric. The color palette remains true to Parachute and you can easily mix and match the piping with all the pieces from our collection.
What is your favorite way to style Organic Soft Luxe?:I like to style my Organic Soft Luxe bedding with our Linen or Vintage Linen. You'll see this combo in some of our campaign images. Linen gives the bedding a more laid-back, casual vibe. It adds the "Parachute" element of being unfussy and cool.
