Loved the material and the feel of this set but I ordered the color Sand. To me it was not sand but light grey. I needed some thing with a little gold to it which to me would have been a true sand. Had to send it back. Customer service was very good and got my refund quickly.
Not much to say...
I love the way these came in the mail. The way they were packaged was very nice but.... I just wish the sewing was a little better. A lot of strings that I had to remove and I just didn't love seeing all the over stitching. Just wish they were finished a little better. The fabric is lovely though. Waiting to see how they are after a few washings.
We returned these because they appeared cheap and poor quality with threads hanging off. They were soft, but didn't live up to my high expectations from Parachute.
I love the feel of the sateen shams and duvet cover. However, I have a king mattress, which is wider than a California king, and there is not enough clearance on either side of the bed. It seems these were made only for California Kings, which is a bummer. Unfortunately, I needed these quickly for guests and bought 2 sets. I have to pull them down on the side that’s visible so you’re not seeing the mattress. I will be donating these to goodwill eventually and replacing with west elm or pottery barn, which size their duvets and sheets about 10 inches wider.
I suppose I imagined them thicker and softer for the cost. The reviews said they (I bought the duvet as well) were high quality and buttery soft. They’re fine enough that I don’t necessarily want to return them, but I would not buy them again nor recommend them. After 2 washes the sheen is gone as well. I didn’t expect it to last as I read that in reviews as well but I didn’t think it would "fade out” that quickly.
I previously had purchased the Queen sateen sheet set, a few years ago when I first heard about Parachute. I loved them, they were soft and smooth, a bit slippery with a nice sheen. When we got a king size bed, I waited a while but finally purchased another set of the same sheets from Parachute, but in a size King. With the two sets side-by-side, something has definitely changed. The new sateen sheets I most recently purchased are dry, scratchy, and feel cheap. For how much they cost I am not satisfied and wish I could have received sheets the same quality as the Queen set I purchased years ago. I still have the queen bed in the guest room so I still have the old Parachute sateen sheets on it. They are so much better than the newest king ones. Manufacturing or something must have changed :( Look elsewhere now for nice sheets.
