I really wanted to like this as much as I love the other items I purchased from Parachute (towels, cloud duvet, percale sheets), but the linen is extremely thin and the duvet cover is way too big for the matching queen duvet I ordered. I'm supremely disappointed and wonder if its a quality control issue. Parachute, please contact me if there's any way to remedy this.
So I'm writing you to express my concern with the quality of the Parachute linen sheets that were purchased back in 2019. I purchased these sheets under the impression they were of higher quality than most department store grade linens. That said I'm a single male that have used these sheets on a king size bed, along with other sheet sets, for 2 years now. They have always had a reasonable amount of shedding which I wasn't necessarily concerned with until now. I've always washed and dried these sheets in a Samsung washer dryer unit in cold water. Dried on sensored heat setting. Please see the attached picture of considerably worn fitted sheet. The hole appeared just today after removing from bed to launder. I am simply expressing my dis-satisfaction with these sheets considering what I paid for the set. Any feedback is welcome.
At first the fitted sheet felt wonderful right out of the package - soft and just the right amount of texture. However, it wears thin in no time. I take excellent care of my linens, even using special laundry detergent made just for them. I don't mind spending money for a well made linen, but to have it become paper thin in less than a year is ridiculous. I am buying new linen sheets, but never again from this company.
Ordered 2 sets (bottom sheets in their older/ discontinued linen fabric and top sheets in their newer linen during their pre- holiday sale. One set was actually a gift for my mom. The reviews were so good- I was shocked at how rough they ended up being. The older/ discontinued linen was slightly softer than the newer one. Overall they were pretty disappointing though. I own 2 other sets of linen sheets from 2 other similar higher end companies that are MUCH softer and lovely to sleep in. (One starts with B & ends with linen and the other sounds like Matthew.) Parachute linen sheets didn’t even come close. Not sure what happened here because other items that I have purchased from Parachute in the past (towels, percale sheets, pillow cases, duvet and pillows!) have been lovely quality. My mom has sensitive skin so I have told her not to bother with the sheets and just see if she can give them away to someone...
I am so disappointed in the quality of my Parachute linen sheets (specifically talking about pillowcases and a fitted sheet) and in Parachute's customer service. Linen sheets are supposed to last a long time if well-cared for which justifies their higher price tag! Our Parachute linen sheets are completely in tatters after two years - both the pillowcase and sheet are covered in large holes. We washed them gently, nothing outside of normal wear and tear. Customer service's response was: "the damage appears to be the result of regular wear and tear, and the order is more than one year old." Apparently the expectation is that the linens are not supposed to last beyond a year? Regretting our decision to buy the mattress for fear that it won't hold up. Will not be buying from Parachute again.
I have had this duvet cover for almost a year. The weight and feel of the fabric is excellent. I was so excited to receive and use it. About two months after receiving the duvet cover, one of the corner ties fell off. I was disappointed, but loved the look and feel of the duvet cover so much, that I just dealt with it. Now, after having it for about a year, all but one of the corner ties has fallen off, so of course the duvet inside is just constantly rolled into a ball. It's unusable unless I take it somewhere to be fixed. For this price point, it seems unacceptable to me that the duvet cover wouldn't even last a year. I have reached out to Parachute about this and haven't gotten a reply. The fabric quality deserves 5 stars, but I have to give this product 1 star since, ultimately, it just hasn't functioned for me.
We purchased our linen sheets and duvet a few years ago and have used them every day since. I did a lot of research and believed that good quality linen could last a long time if treated well. This was a big investment so I definitely treated them well - washing each piece separately in cold water and hang drying them. I was disappointed to see today, the threads pulling away from each other and holes forming. I have no idea how or why that would happen. I’ve had cotton sheets for longer that have never done that. I contacted customer services but they said it was just wear and tear and couldn't replace the sheet. I'm surprised by the price and claimed quality.
I have a 10 inch Queen mattress, and the queen fitted sheet was WAY too big. Honestly, it felt like I had ordered a king, but the tag said Queen.
I was so excited for my new sheets but they have been nothing but trouble! The green sheet I got ripped after six months. I cared for/washed it properly but it still got a massive rip while I was sleeping. The orange sheets are STILL SHEDDING balls of fabric dust all over my room and bed months/many washes later. Plus, the way these sheets stretch they don’t fit the bed well and never lay flat. Honestly I was mega disappointed.
Had the top sheet and fitted sheet for only four months and they already have holes. Cared for as noted. The fitted sheet also shedded lots of lint. Extremely disappointed.
