Oh it was soft at first. Had it professionally cleaned, so rough. Wasn’t worth the price.
Unfortunately, this set was too hot for me. Additionally, despite washing the set a few times, it smelled quite odd.
The duvet pulls and they do not offer a normal king size option. If you have a king size bed your cover will hang on the floor and pool on the floor.
I purchased the cloud cotton duvet cover and as soon as I took it out of the packaging, one of the internal ties fell off. Within 1-2 months all 4 of the ties had fallen off (I’ve never had this issue with a duvet cover?). I contacted Parachute and they recommended sewing new ties on myself. Now I have had the duvet cover for about 6 months and there are holes in it. I saw other people posting pictures of their Parachute items with the same types of holes and figured they had washed it wrong but now I see that the quality of the products is just very poor, especially for the price.
This duvet set is such a disappointment. For the money, I expect high quality, but the attachment strings at all four counters immediately fell off and/or completely frayed even before washing. Also, there were what looks like blue pen marks on both sides of where the button and hole were supposed to be sewn in, but they didn’t clean up? Lastly, the king size must really be fore a California king because is is far too wide for a standard king duvet insert. It is too much material to fit properly. The material is super soft and I want it to work so badly, but for the money, there is just too much wrong with this product.
Honestly, I wanted to love my white cloud cotton duvet. I purchased it about a year ago.. and only used it for about 3 months. Let me start by saying the duvet fabric itself is amazing. I love the softness and it kept us amazingly warm and cozy. However, there are some design flaws. The ties to keep the duvet in place frayed and fell off within two washings, meaning there are large bits of just the duvet cover pulling in random directions, and clumps of the duvet in others making for an unevenness in weight throughout the duvet and duvet cover. The buttons would fall out of place and unbutton often, causing the duvet to spill out of the cover. Another random issue: when I washed this fabric for the first time, and put it back on, I noticed these brown spots all over the duvet and the pillowcases that I have tried and tried to get out. Since it’s white I’ve bleached, used tide and bleach, stripped the duvet with washing soap borax and let it soak for a few hours.. used a stain remover bar on every brown spot. There has been no success in removing the stains, which has no reason to be there in the first place since it appeared after washing with mild detergent on a cool and gentle setting after the first wash. I never like writing negative reviews, and sincerely loved the idea of this duvet feeling like a cloud (which it totally does). I’m just so disappointed that the flaws of design, and all the hard work it has taken me to attempt to get random spots out outweigh the luxurious feel of the duvet itself. I do not recommend this duvet.
It was very pretty the first week, but let me tell you this snags on EVERYTHING. Rings, fingers, you name it. It’s literally impractical for any actual use.
I love love love how comfy this duvet is BUT it came with stitching pulled out in multiple places all over. Unfortunately those snags will turn into holes. I'm so sad because I love this set so much. I'm going to exchange in hopes it comes perfect this time but beware when you first get it to look for snags.
